Swan Valley Tours where honored to be asked by the City of Swan to take Professor Jimmy Choo around the Swan Valley on Saturday the 9th of August. A gracious, gentle and generous man who is known around the world for his fabulous shoes and bags.
Jimmy loves red wine, so he sampled some of Swan Valleys best red wines from Pinelli, John Kosovish, Waters Edge and Talijancich at Pinelli Winery before a beautiful lunch at Fillaudeaus Restaurant, thanks to Manu and Jazz. From there we took him to Maalinup Aboriginal Art Gallery for curator Dale Tilbrook to show him works by the various local artists. Jimmy then sat down at Dale’s desk and sketched a shoe for her. He told Dale to add her mark to it but she wasn’t going to do anything but frame it! After that we visited Taylors Art Studio and Café. Artist Jade Taylor showed Jimmy her wonderful screen printed fabrics and art, then her daughter Caroline served up a beautiful afternoon tea with delicious homemade cakes.
Everywhere we went Jimmy Choo was asked for photos. He generously gave his time to each and every one he met which made us 2 hours late but no one minded as it was such a great day.
P.S. Watch out for his prodigy Ms Illiza Ho. Her bags are amazing and she is sure to be a big name of the future.
